Today, I participated in an organized protest by the regay azady organization in front of the UK Parliament in London. Our goal was clear and direct:

“We will no longer allow the land of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to be handed over to party militias!”

Party militias are a real and serious threat to the peace and security of our nation. The world must see and understand that we, as the people of Iraq and Kurdistan, will not accept armed powers to rule us under the name of politics and ideology, violating human rights and suppressing our freedoms.

I am proud to have signed our organization’s memorandum, which has now been formally delivered to the UK Parliament and the United Nations. This memorandum is not just words on paper; it is the cry of the people of Iraq and Kurdistan for liberation from the oppression of militias and armed groups.

I remain hopeful that the day will come when injustice and tyranny end in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and peace and stability return to our lands. The world must face this truth:

There can be no real peace as long as party militias and armed groups continue to exist!
