Today in Manchester, with great pride, I took part in an important demonstration organized by the (regay azadi) organization. This demonstration was part of our ongoing series of activities and was held under the meaningful slogan: “The call for elections and false promises will not make us forget the betrayal of October 16!”

The main purpose of this gathering was to commemorate that historic and painful betrayal committed on October 16, 2017, by both ruling parties (the KDP and PUK) against our people. Through this event, we delivered a clear message to everyone that, in the name of elections and the so-called democratic process, our people continue to be deceived and manipulated.

As part of this demonstration, I, alongside my comrades, signed the organization’s memorandum. This memorandum will be sent to several relevant entities in the United Kingdom to raise awareness about the betrayal and dishonesty that exist within Iraq’s political process.

As always, we will continue our struggle to convey the message of truth and justice — and this was yet another step in that ongoing effort.
